For this project, we uninstalled the existing solar panels, we removed the old roofing materials, and inspected the integrity of the decking. During our inspection, we found and replaced a few small spots of bad decking. Many roofing contractors skip this very important step. We installed a full GAF weather barrier dry-in system to protect the home against rain, ice, snow and other extreme weather. Most roofing contractors cut this cost by mixing and matching dry-in products, but at Master Roofing we only use the highest quality materials that have stood the test of time.
During our inspection, we discovered that the home did not meet ventilation codes. This caused the roof to begin failing prematurely and left it susceptible to attic moisture build up and ice dams. To correct this, we installed GAF continuous ridge venting to bring the home up to code and to ensure that the roof will perform for its lifetime.

Most roofing contractors use small crews that take a week to complete a roofing project, leaving roofs exposed to the elements. At Master Roofing, our project managers and large crews work together to complete projects efficiently. While our roofing team got to work our insurance liaison, Nathan, coordinated with the homeowners insurance and kept them informed throughout the process. Within 24 hours the homeowner had a new roof. We also installed new black rain gutters to compliment the color of the new asphalt shingles.
