Meet Mattie Tueller, Owner & General Manager of Master Roofing

Mattie Tueller has spent his career learning roofing from the ground up. He got his start in construction and the service industry at 16, and along the way also served as Political Director for one of Utah’s largest political parties, an experience that taught him as much about leadership and relationships as any roof has.

Nine years ago, Mattie became Owner & General Manager of Master Roofing. He started the company simply to replace the income he was making as a roofing salesperson, with no expectation of how far it would grow. In the early years, he made a point of performing repairs himself so he could understand exactly why roofs fail and which steps in the process get skipped that end up causing problems years later. That hands-on foundation still shapes how Master Roofing operates today.

As demand grew faster than Mattie could manage on instinct alone, he brought in a values-driven business consultant in 2021 to help scale the company without sacrificing quality or personal service. He believes firmly in a win-win approach: what’s right for the customer is what’s right for the business. That principle has guided every decision since.

Today, Master Roofing is a full-service residential and commercial roofing company, covering:

• Snow-retention systems
• Roof and structural framing
• HOA roofing programs
• Diagnosing roof damage and premature roof failure

Every one of those services was added because customers needed it. Mattie’s team is hired for their values first, then trained personally by him to deliver the same standard of work he’d want on his own home.

Outside of Work

Mattie is a father of four, and the values he’s working to teach his kids most – hard work, integrity, and continuous learning and improvement – are the same ones he’s built Master Roofing on.
